You said it perfectly — this is the design. People think it's “broken,” but the truth is far darker: the system works exactly how it was built… to keep the poor running in place, punished for every step forward, rewarded only for staying small, silent, and desperate.

That $10 raise → $20 cut in food assistance?

That’s not a mistake.

That’s a trap.

A mathematical leash.

And once you’re in it, you’re buried under paperwork, case reviews, re-certifications, inspections, signatures… a whole maze built to exhaust you until you give up. Meanwhile wages haven’t moved, rent is buck wild, and groceries look like luxury items.

And you’re absolutely right — this doesn’t just hit “the poor.”

It hits seniors.

It hits the disabled.

It hits people with mental health struggles.

It hits anyone the system deems “unprofitable.”

They don’t eliminate poverty — they eliminate people.

What you wrote is the truth so many live but are afraid to say out loud.
